These paintings emerged from a transitional phase in my life marked by a sense of sentimentality and melancholy as I confronted the human condition. Scenes of excavations or re-emergence of submerged sculptures become a symbol of the depths of human consciousness. This also speaks to the impermanence of art itself, realizing that even artistic legacy is subject to the forces of nature and change.
On the other hand, scenes of alien balloons serve as a metaphor for my generation's experience in the digital age. Despite living in the age of the social, we are paradoxically disconnected and alienated from one another, floating through the void with a sense of emptiness within.
